When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown on the comments form, and also the visitor's IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string, created based on your email address (this is also called a hash), may be sent to the Gravatar service if you use it. The privacy policy page can be found here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment has been approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible in the context of your comment.

Media

If you are a registered user and upload images to the site, you should avoid uploading images that contain EXIF GPS location data. Visitors to the site might be able to download the images from the site and view the location data.

To protect the privacy and discretion of our visitors, taking photos or video recordings with your own smartphone, camera or other device is not permitted during activities in De Poederdoos.

Photographs may only be taken using the designated camera provided by De Poederdoos.

Photographs in which individuals can be recognised will only be taken and published if the person concerned has given their express prior consent. No one is obliged to appear in a photograph. Consent that has been given may be withdrawn at a later date.

The selected photographs may be posted in a restricted-access photo gallery on the Travestie.Vlaanderen website. This gallery is accessible only to authorised visitors. The photographs are not intentionally made available for download and must not be copied, saved, shared, forwarded or published elsewhere without permission.

Anyone who would like to have a photo of themselves removed should contact the organisation.

Taking selfies with your own device is permitted, but only in the designated photo area outside. Other guests must not appear in the photos unless with mutual consent. These photos are for personal use and must not be distributed.

Cookies

When you leave a comment on our site, you can choose to save your name, email address, and website in a cookie for your convenience. This means you won't have to re-enter your details the next time you leave a comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will store a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain personal data and is deleted as soon as you close your browser.

Once you log in, we will store some cookies related to your login information and screen display options. Login cookies are valid for 2 days, and cookies for screen display options for 1 year. If you select “Remember me,” your login will be stored for 2 weeks. Once you log out of your account, login cookies will be deleted.

When you edit or publish a message, an additional cookie is stored by your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and only holds the post ID of the article you have edited. This cookie will expire after one day.

Embedded content from other sites

Posts on this site may show embedded content. For example, videos, images, or posts. Embedded content from other sites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor had visited that other website.

Who we share your data with

The answer is quite simple: with no one! Should it still be necessary to share data for any compelling reason, we will inform the person concerned first.
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be recorded in the reset email.

Visitors can voluntarily exchange contact details with each other, such as an email address or telephone number. These details are personal and confidential and may only be used for the purpose for which they were provided. It is forbidden to distribute them. 

Contact details must not be: without express consent:

• passed on to other people;
• added to a contact group or mailing list;
• used for advertising or other purposes;
• shown in a group message or email.

If in doubt: ask for permission first before using or sharing someone’s contact details.

(The Belgian Data Protection Authority even regards the visible display of addresses in the CC field as a potential breach of personal data.)

How long we keep your data

When you leave a comment, that comment and the metadata of that comment are saved forever. This way, we can automatically recognise and approve follow-up comments instead of having to moderate them.

For users registered on our site (if applicable), we also store personal information in their user profile. All users can view, modify, or delete their personal information at any time (the username cannot be changed). Site administrators can also view and modify this information.

Your rights concerning your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request an export file of your personal data that we hold, including all data you have provided. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
